We’re pleased as punch to pre-release the ride map for the Easy Riders Bikes $250.00 Poker Ride. Check it out! Here are the event details.

• Poker Ride runs from 3:00p - 5:00p
• The Poker Ride is a family-friendly, ride-friendly event.
• Open to all ages and skill levels.
• Ride to any of these location to pick up your poker card by using any combination of trail (dirt or tar). You pick the route and all cards need to be collected by bike.
• Best hand wins a $250.00 gift card to Easy Riders Bikes in Brainerd!
• Other prizes will also be available for other participants, really sweet prizes from our Festival presenting sponsor, Trek!
• Cards must be handed back in by 5:00p at the Crosby Memorial Park
• Helmets are required.

Introducing the Trailblazer Bikes Cross Country Mountain Bike Race Course Maps

Above is the race course map for the expert class of the Trailblazer Bikes Cross Country Mountain Bike Race in the 2013 Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Festival.

We’re sure to note that this course is indeed “expert” not just in name sake but in the trails you’ll be riding as well.

The Expert course includes trails such as Endo Alley, Rocky Flats and Crusher. If big climbs and technical skills are not your thing we recommend that you race the Sport course as seen below. The expert course is geared for the expert skilled racer!

The trails to be raced in the Expert class are as follows:

1) Start on Miner’s Mountain Road.
2) Demo Parking Area to Snowmobile trail.
3) Snowmobile trail to Boot Camp.
4) Boot Camp to Overburden Road.
5) Overburden Road to Easy Street.
6) Easy Street to Mucker Mountain.
7) Mucker Mountain to Little Sidewinder.
8) Little Sidewinder to Sand Hog Mountain.
9) Sand Hog Mountain to Sidewinder.
10) Sidewinder to Low Grade.
11) Low Grade to Endo Alley.
12) Endo Alley to Easy Street.
13) Easy Street to Hopper Hill.
14) Hopper Hill to Easy Street.
15) Easy Street to Trammer.
16) Trammer to Miner’s Mountain Road.
17) Miner’s Mountain Road to Ferrous Wheel.
18) Ferrous Wheel to Roly Poly.
19) Roly Poly to Sidewinder.
20) Sidewinder to Crusher.
21) Crusher to Miner’s Mountain.
22) Miner’s Mountain to Rocky Flats.
23) Rocky Flats to GPS location 45 and continue up Miner’s Mountain.
24) Miner’s Mountain to Chute.
25) Chute to Trammer.
26) Trammer to Miner’s Mountain Road and over dirt mound by EMS Access Point F to Easy Street.
27) Easy Street to to Finish line.
28) REPEAT! - 2 LAPS TOTAL.

If you already registered online and would like to move into the Sport class, no worries. When you pick up your racer bag at registration we’ll have the form ready for you to fill out to do so.

Above is the Race Course Map for the Sport and Beginners. Sport will race two laps while beginners only one. There will be no technical b-lines on the Sport and Beginner course and this classification will also have two less climbs. (No Mucker Mountain, No Crusher)

Presented by Maucieri’s Italian Bistro, Bar & Deli and New Belgium Brewing (spaghetti served until supplies are gone)
 
Kick off the 2013 Mountain Bike Festival in fine Cuyuna-style with live music by Deblock, Fort and Flynn, a bonfire, pasta feed, and New Belgium Brewing. All held lakeside in beautiful Crosby Memorial Park.
Then following enjoy a night ride on Cuyuna’s red dirt bacon strip. Experience the thrills and excitement of riding the Cuyuna Lakes Ride Center at night. Multiple ride groups will be formed so we’ll have a group to match ride experience levels from beginner to expert/expert.

    Acceptable lighting:
        - Spotlight mounted on your helmet
• Crew will ride as one large group or smaller groups designed to skill level. Individual riding is not allowed.

Good news all, the Cuyuna Lakes Yeti has finally retired his snow making efforts and now we’re safe (we think) to release the sweet spring news of the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Festival.

Not too far away, June 7th - 8th, 2013

Online registration is live right now, and, registration ends Monday June 3rd. Registration fees below are per person.

Special note about race fees within the 2013 Festival:
All events proceeds after expenses are divided equally between the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber and the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew in order to fulfill their mutual missions of expanding mountain bike opportunities in the Cuyuna Lakes.

As a kick-off to this event, we will be using this spaghetti feed as a way to raise funds by featuring a FREE concert by Deblock, Fort and Flynn. Riders pick up the first and last cards in the Crosby Memorial Park and the other cards from out on the mountain bike trails. Best hand wins.
